Most people think parasites are limited to less-developed countries, but different kinds can affect us all at various times in our lives. Recent estimates from the CDC reveal that 90% of Americans will be host to a parasite at some point in their lifetime. Unlike the billions of "good bacteria" necessary for proper function of the gastrointestinal tract, endoparasites are unhealthy and can be dangerous. Although worldwide deaths due to parasites number in the millions each year, macroparasitic infestations (parasites large enough to be seen without a microscope) cause more than 100,000 deaths per year, the majority of which are in South America, Southest Asia, and Africa.* The antiparasitic properties and cleansing efficacy of the select herbs, fibers, and plant compounds contained in the Paraway Pack have been documented for centuries.
Perhaps you think you are free from toxins. Think again. Toxins are everywhere--in the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and many of the products we use on a daily basis (sprays, plastics, VOC's, cleansers, carpets, pollution, etc.) Toxins place a heavy burden on the body's systems, weakening them and making them vulnerable to a variety of health concerns.*

RESEARCH BRIEF
Parasites are organisms that live in or on other organisms (the host). In this arrangement, the parasite benefits by obtaining shelter and nutrients from the host, while the host does not benefit and, in most cases, is harmed.
There are many different types of parasitic organisms in humans. Endoparasites (those that live inside their hosts) can affect various tissues and organs, such as the blood, gastrointestinal tract, liver, gall bladder, lymphatic system, and ultimately weaken the immune system. The host is generally weakened by large numbers of parasites as the body's immune system attempts to resist the intrusion.
Worldwide, the estimated number of humans that host parasites is well over one billion, primarily in developing countries. In the United States, the numbers are increasing. Current estimates are that between 40-50% of americans are host to at least one parasite, including water-borne parasites, which have become increasingly common due to faulty or inadequate water treatment facilities.
